Appendix A: Local Study

To further specify our recommendations and fit them to Copper Trace we conducted a survey of Copper Trace’s nursing staff based on our previous online research. The survey had a total of 14 questions and was distributed to the CNAs, RNs, and LPNs at Copper Trace.

Within our survey’s question banks, we had select questions that were only presented to respondents that answered previous questions in a certain manner. Below is an example of this with question 6 being presented only to respondents that answered question 5 with the lower three answers on the likert scale. This function was used for:

  • Questions 6, 7, and 8 which were presented based on answer to question 5

  • Question 12 which was presented based on answer to question 1

  • Question 13 which was presented based on answer to question 11

This allowed our survey to target specific subgroups within the nursing program and collect valuable data on specific sections of your nursing staff and ensure relevance and professionalism of questions for all survey respondents.
